Living in the Nicaraguan Caribbean means living in one of the most vulnerable areas to climate change in the world . During our two-year stay, we experienced 2 hurricanes in less than 1 month. We were able to observe the increasing amount of plastic in the sea that reaches the bays on a daily basis, as well as the erosion of the beaches on the islands, where every year the sea level rises and takes with it the palm trees. Of course, we also experienced the beauty of nature in this country, blessed by so many lakes, rivers and the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
